How Find-Lead data is collected and verified
What the database contains
Find-Lead lists company profiles (name, website domain, location, industry, size and, where available, funding details) and business contacts (name, job title, work email and phone number where available). Every company record is tied to a business domain.
Where records come from
Records are compiled from publicly available sources such as company websites, business directories, job listings and press coverage. We store the facts (names, titles, locations, addresses) and do not republish third-party prose as our own. No dataset of this kind is complete, and a missing field means we do not have a reliable value for it.
How email addresses are verified
Addresses are checked in steps: syntax, whether the domain exists and publishes mail (MX) records, and, where the receiving server allows it, an SMTP check that does not send a message. Some servers accept all addresses, so a passed check reduces bounce risk but is not a guarantee of delivery.
Which contacts are shown
Company contact lists exclude consumer mail providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud and similar services, because those are personal mailboxes rather than employer addresses. For visitors who are not signed in, email addresses and phone numbers are partly masked.
How email formats and statistics are calculated
The email format shown on a company page is the share of that company's known addresses that match each common pattern (for example first.last). The percentage is only as reliable as the number of addresses behind it.
Counts on industry pages are the number of company records in the database for that industry. Breakdowns by size, country and funding stage are computed from those records. The "most common decision-maker titles" list is counted from a sample of contacts in the industry, not from every contact.
Freshness and limits
Records are refreshed monthly, but people change jobs and companies change domains, so some details will be out of date. If you find an error, email support@find-lead.com with the page address and the correction.
Removal and correction requests
Anyone listed can ask for their information to be removed or corrected. See how to request removal.
